If you use Plesk and run backups, or simply received a tzst archive file, here’s how you can unzip a TZST file with Mac.

What is an .TZST file?
.TZST is Zstandard Compressed Tar File

A TZST file contains multiple files in a Unix .TAR archive that is compressed with the Zstandard (zstd) compression algorithm to reduce the file size. It is the shorthand version of the compound extension tar.zst similar to the .TGZ, .TBZ2, and .TXZ files. TZST files are commonly used on Unix and Linux systems

How to unzip?
1) Install Keka https://www.keka.io/en/ . It’s a free file archiver for MacOS.

2) Then go to the folder where you have your TZST file.

3) Right click (or Ctrl-click) the TZST file, then click “Open with” > “Other…”. Then choose another program and check the “Always Open With” box. You will be asked where to extract the files to. Select your folder and you are done.

And that’s it! Cheers!
